It's all the buzz on the internet - a new Del Shannon Tribute Album coming out soon with names such as The Electric Light Orchestra ("Little Town Flirt"), Randy Bachman ("Runaway") and Gordon Waller (Of Peter & Gordon - "Broken Promises.") Also featured on the album will be 24-year old musician/filmmaker, Joe G, performing "So Long Baby." Joining Joe on the song is the co-writer of "Runaway" and Del Shannon's original keyboardist, Max Crook, who will be playing his famous Musitron that was heard on all of Del's hit records. Take a listen to Max playing on "Runaway" here!

Also featured on the cd is the original bass player for the 1960's pop group "The Classics IV,"  Walter Eaton, contributing a special surprise performance.

"So Long Baby." A record. A music video. What's It all about? Well, there's lots of songs and videos where the girl tells off the guy who's cheating on her, so we wanted to do something a little different. It's all in good fun, of course. Nothing harmful, but fun-loving, in the same vein as The Dixie Chicks' "Goodbye, Earl."

"The plot revolves around the main character, myself, Joe G, who is trying to tell off his ex-girlfriend, who has cheated on him and is spreading bad rumors about him to everyone in this small town - Coopersville, MI," Joe says. "He tries to prove to her that he doesn't care about her anymore, yet ironically keeps chasing her to make his point. In the meantime, he's being chased by the local sheriff with Max Crook as the getaway driver. It's a lot of fun and there's lots of surprise gags for all those Del Shannon fanatics, like authentic 1961 Michigan license plate replicas with surprise codes only a true fan could unscramble."
